Vehicle Transport in Glasgow

Planned A-to-B transport, auction collection and garage moves across the Glasgow area.

Not all vehicle moves are emergencies. Sometimes you've bought a car at auction, need a vehicle moved between garages, or want a non-runner transported on a planned date. Glasgow Recovery Help helps drivers and buyers arrange planned vehicle transport around Glasgow.

Planned transport means you can pick a time that suits, rather than waiting at the roadside. Tell us the collection and destination points and we'll help you find suitable transport support.

What this covers

Planned A-to-B

Book a move between two points at a time that suits you.

Auction collection

Collect a newly bought vehicle and bring it to you.

Garage transfers

Move a vehicle between garages or repairers.

Non-runners too

Transport for vehicles that can't be driven under their own power.

If it's an emergency, call 999 first

If anyone is injured, if your vehicle is in a live traffic lane, or if there is any immediate danger, contact the emergency services before anything else. Your safety comes first.

If you've broken down or had an incident

  • Get yourself and passengers to a safe place, away from moving traffic where possible.
  • Switch on hazard lights and, if you have one and it's safe, place a warning triangle well behind the vehicle.
  • Wear a hi-vis vest if you have one, especially at night or in poor weather.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Can you collect a car I bought at auction?

Yes — auction and private-sale collection is a common transport request. Provide the collection and delivery addresses and vehicle details in your request.

Is planned transport cheaper than emergency recovery?

Costs vary with distance, vehicle and timing, so we don't publish fixed prices during launch. Planned moves can often be arranged more flexibly, and we'll be upfront when you enquire.

Can you move a non-running vehicle on a planned date?

Yes — non-runners can be transported as a planned move. Note that the vehicle isn't driveable in your request so the right equipment is arranged.

Can you recover a car with no keys, or one stuck in gear?

Situations like a lost key, a car left in gear, or a vehicle that can't be steered are common and usually workable with the right equipment. Describe exactly what's happening in your request so recovery arrives prepared.

My car is in a tight spot — a car park, alley or driveway. Is that a problem?

Awkward access — tight car parks, narrow lanes, low clearance or a blocked-in vehicle — can often still be handled, though it affects which equipment is needed. Note the access details and any restrictions in your request so it can be planned properly.
