Privacy Policy

Plain-English information about what details we collect, how they're used, and your rights.

Last updated: 1 July 2026.

Glasgow Recovery Help ("we", "us") runs glasgowrecoveryhelp.co.uk, an information service that helps drivers in the Glasgow area find local vehicle recovery support. This page explains how we handle personal information, in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

The launch-phase position

We are currently in a launch phase. The request form on this site is not yet connected to any sending or storage system — details typed into it are not transmitted to us and are not stored anywhere. The form tells you this when you press submit. This policy also describes how the form will work once it goes live, so nothing changes without notice.

What we will collect once the form is live

When the request form is switched on, submitting it will send us the details you enter: your name, phone number, what's wrong with the vehicle, your location or postcode, a destination if you give one, and any notes you add. We will use these details only to respond to your request and, where relevant, to pass them to a local recovery operator so they can help you. We will not sell your details or use them for marketing.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Third-party services

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google's own privacy policy for how it handles such requests. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses as part of serving and securing the site.

How long we keep information

Once the form is live, we will keep request details only as long as needed to deal with your request, then delete them. We will update this page with specific retention periods when the form is switched on.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, or ask for it to be deleted. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dax.workspace@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page as the service develops — in particular when the request form and phone lines go live. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
