24 Hour Recovery in Glasgow

We are preparing 24-hour recovery routing for Glasgow. Here's an honest picture of where things stand.

Breakdowns don't keep office hours, which is exactly why round-the-clock recovery matters. Glasgow Recovery Help is building towards 24-hour routing so drivers can find recovery support whatever the time — but we won't claim it's fully in place before it genuinely is.

During this launch phase, you can still send a request at any time. We'll use your details to work out what local recovery support can help, and we'll always be clear about what's realistic rather than guaranteeing overnight dispatch we can't yet back up.

What this covers

Building towards 24/7

Round-the-clock routing is being prepared, not yet guaranteed.

Honest by default

We tell you what's actually available rather than over-promising.

Any-time requests

You can submit a request at any hour and we'll follow up.

Safety first

At any time of day or night, call 999 if there's danger.

If it's an emergency, call 999 first

If anyone is injured, if your vehicle is in a live traffic lane, or if there is any immediate danger, contact the emergency services before anything else. Your safety comes first.

If you've broken down or had an incident

  • Get yourself and passengers to a safe place, away from moving traffic where possible.
  • Switch on hazard lights and, if you have one and it's safe, place a warning triangle well behind the vehicle.
  • Wear a hi-vis vest if you have one, especially at night or in poor weather.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Is 24-hour recovery available right now?

We are in a launch phase and preparing 24-hour routing. We don't want to promise guaranteed overnight dispatch before it's genuinely in place, so please submit a request and we'll be clear about current availability.

Can I still ask for help at night?

Yes — you can send a request at any time. We'll use the details to work out what local recovery support can help and follow up honestly about timing.

When will full 24-hour cover be ready?

We're working on it as our partner network comes online. Rather than give a date we can't be sure of, we'd rather under-promise and keep you informed.

Can you recover a car with no keys, or one stuck in gear?

Situations like a lost key, a car left in gear, or a vehicle that can't be steered are common and usually workable with the right equipment. Describe exactly what's happening in your request so recovery arrives prepared.

My car is in a tight spot — a car park, alley or driveway. Is that a problem?

Awkward access — tight car parks, narrow lanes, low clearance or a blocked-in vehicle — can often still be handled, though it affects which equipment is needed. Note the access details and any restrictions in your request so it can be planned properly.

Request recovery help

Tell us what's happened and where you are. We'll use these details to help connect you with local recovery support as our partner network comes online.

Preparing our network. We are getting our recovery partners in place. Emergency call routing will be added soon — this form is not yet an immediate dispatch service.

During launch this form records your request so we can follow up. It does not yet dispatch a recovery vehicle. If you're in danger, call 999.
